The old Post and Telegraph Building, designed by Manuel de Cárdenas at the beginning of the 20th century, has some stylistic similarities between the architecture with a certain evocation of medieval castles and with Gaudí's Botines Building which the Leonese know as the Tower.
Its use was reconverted a few decades ago to accommodate some of the administrative services of the Provincial Council of Leon.
